Uniform is an important part of dance, as the wrong attire can restrict movement and not allow the teacher to make proper corrections. Uniform also provides students with a sense of belonging and pride in their studio. It is essential that students at Elite Dance are correctly attired for each class.
Correct footwear is essential and needs to fit snugly. The Elite Dance uniform can be purchased at ‘Dancestuff’ at 44 Mann Street, Gosford. Or, as a Studio Partner, we can organise to have it brought to the studio for you for collection.
Elite Dance also stocks various branded uniform items suitable for most class wear.
Please note that skirts, jeans, school uniforms, jewellery and bulky/oversized clothing are not appropriate for dance class wear.
Class Requirements
Little Jewels Preschool Dance
Girls Ballet/Tap: Energetiks Florence Leotard with attached skirt in LILAC, salmon pink ballet tights or socks, Energetiks leather full sole ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
Boys: White t-shirt or white cap sleeve leotard, black dance shorts or leggings, black ballet shoes
Girls Jazz/Acro: Energetiks Florence Leotard with attached skirt in LILAC, OR Black bike shorts or leggings, Elite Dance shirt in preferred style, salmon pink ballet tights or socks, black jazz shoes
Boys: White t-shirt or white cap sleeve leotard, black dance shorts or leggings, OR Elite Dance shirt in preferred style, black jazz shoes
Hair should be kept off the face in a bun or ponytail for all styles of dance in our Little Jewels program.
Gemstone Ballet and RAD Ballet
Energetiks Annabelle Leotard CL11/AL11 (please see your gemstone grade for your colour), Energetiks Melody Skirt CS01/AS01 to match leotard colour, salmon pink ballet tights, leather or canvas ballet shoes. Hair must be in a ballet bun.

Gemstone Jazz
Any combination of the Elite Dance branded shirt and black shorts or leggings. Black slip on split sole jazz shoes. Hair should be kept off the face in a bun or ponytail for jazz classes.
Gemstone Contemporary/Lyrical
Any combination of the Elite Dance branded shirt and black shorts or leggings. Bare feet. Footundeez or canvas pirouettes (OPTIONAL) are permitted for contemporary and lyrical dance. Hair should be kept off the face in a bun or ponytail for contemporary and lyrical classes.
Gemstone Tap
Any combination of the Elite Dance branded shirt and black shorts or leggings. Black low heel tap shoes. Hair should be kept off the face in a bun or ponytail for tap classes.
Gemstone Acro
Leotard or tight fitting Elite Dance branded shirt and black shorts or leggings. Bare feet. Please note: no baggy or loose fitting clothing should be worn for acro classes. Hair should be tied up in a bun or braids.
Ballet Exam Requirements
Pre-Primary to Grade 1
Leotard to be advised, leather full sole ballet shoes, pink ballet socks, black character skirt and shoes for Grade 1
Grade 2 to Grade 3
Leotard to be advised, leather full sole ballet shoes with elastic, salmon ballet tights, black character skirt and shoes (Grade 3 will require cuban heel character shoes).
Grade 4 to Grade 5
Energetiks Cobalt AL11, split sole ballet shoes with ribbons, theatrical ballet tights, black character skirt and shoes with Cuban heal
Grade 6 to Grade 8
Leotard and matching long skirt to be advised, split sole ballet shoes with elastic, theatrical ballet tights, black character skirt and character shoes with Cuban heal
Intermediate Foundation to Intermediate
Navy blue Energetiks AL11, theatrical ballet tights, split sole ballet shoes with ribbons, pointe shoes with ribbons. N.B. Intermediate candidates require satin demi-pointe ballet shoes with ribbons
Advanced Foundation to Advanced 2
Black Energetiks AL11, salmon ballet tights, satin demi-pointe shoes with ribbons, pointe shoes with ribbons.
