BA (Dance)/B Ed
Emma began dancing at the age of four with Gosford City School of Dance. After nine years she made the move to Elite Dance (formerly Lamott School of Dance) where she has trained ever since in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and lyrical. Beyond Elite Dance, Emma has performed in the Central Dance Company in 2008 and throughout her school years was a part of the School Spectacular, Central Coast Dance Festival and Rock Eisteddfod as well as performing at the opening ceremony for the Pacific School Games and Torch Ceremony.
In 2009 Emma began a double degree in Dance Performance and Education at the University of New South Wales. While here she studied under notable choreographers and teachers such as John Mullins, Sue Healey and Veronica Beattie; in contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop and musical theatre. She also took classes held by choreographers and dancers of The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Australian Dance Theatre. As well as completing studies in dance technology, history and composition, Emma also minored in Theatre and Performance Studies, combining her love of dance with the stage and theatre.
Upon completing her degree in 2012, Emma brought her newfound knowledge and experience to our musical theatre classes and is now looking forward to the opportunities both as a dancer and a teacher that are to come.
